Medically At-Risk Driver Centre
Research and innovation centre at the University of Alberta which looks at the ability to drive and related medical risks. Medical conditions can increase the risk of an at-fault crash by as much as 2-5x compared to a healthy driver. Centre has resources for families dealing with driving issues.
Partnerships in Health and Safety (Alberta)
Through partnerships with safety associations, industry groups, education institutes and labour organizations, a framework has been established to promote and certify health and safety programs.
Parachute is the national organization focused on preventing injuries and saving lives. Safe Communities Central Alberta is a member of the Parachute network.
